As far back as I can remember, Wipeout was THE classic rock song that started it all. Even as a toddler, it stirred something within me. Every time I heard this classic rock radio hit, I started dancin & runnin and jumpin around, just gettin crazy! I didn't even get tired of it as I got older. I visualized and imitated playing the drums so much that eventually I actually became a drummer. I loved that wild, free feeling it gave me, gettin all crazy, hyped up and burning off that excess energy. Pretty incredible how a song with only 1 or 2 words can speak to someone so profoundly.

So, fast forward a few years; the song has fallen into obscurity, and I'm bored, hanging out by myself in the basement. I mean, REALLY bored. So tired of all the same ol crap, I need to find something new to do. I decide to mess with the stereo, since I'm not really supposed to. That'll be exciting, right? So I turn it on, flip the auto switch on the turntable, like 'Id seen my brother & sister do, and ..........

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA......................... WIPEOUT!

That vinyl 45 sat there waiting on the turntable the whole time, and when I heard that old Surfaris song again, I still got that rush. Only this time I was the one to throw the switch, which made it even more of a rush. Then I saw other 45's from rock artists like The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and The Eagles, etc. Awww man, it was on. I was hooked. My quest for rock n roll was under way ........
